- Question:
- Is there really something wrong with my car if the check engine light is on? And how quickly should I bring it in?
- Answer:
- Maybe, or maybe not. Your vehicle’s check engine light can come on for many reasons. Something as simple as a gas cap not being tightened enough or as severe as catalyst damaging misfires. Either way, a diagnosis should be obtained as soon as possible to determine the severity of the issue. Frisbee Automotive has the most sophisticated diagnostic equipment on the market. We will analyze your vehicle, determine if there is a problem, and give a clear explanation as to what is needed.
- Question:
- I know my car needs some work, but I can’t be without a car… What should I do?
- Answer:
- We understand the inconvenience of being without your car. With proper scheduling, we will do what we can do get your vehicle serviced quickly. We can also arrange for your transportation to and from your house or work. Rental car service can also be locally arranged if needed.
- Question:
- What type of vehicles do you service?
- Answer:
- We specialize in Lexus, Toyota, Honda, Acura, Ford, GM, and Dodge. While these are the majority, we service a variety of other makes and models as well. Our promise to you is that we will do our best to be accommodating, but we reserve the right to politely say “no” when we feel you and your vehicle will be better served elsewhere.
- Question:
- Do you recommend a certain brand of motor oil?
- Answer:
- The manufacturer recommends different weights and viscosity options depending on your engine and the climate that you live in. We evaluate each make and model, driving habits, and average temperature of your driving environment to determine what type of oil you need.
- Question:
- Why should I care about who changes my oil?
- Answer:
- Customers often tell us they take their vehicles to one of the many, “Quick Lube” chain stores, because they believe it is less expensive (and maybe more convenient). However, the quality of our product and value of our service easily exceeds what those stores have to offer. We use factory oil filters, when available, and a high quality synthetic blend oil that meets manufacturer requirements. Also, every vehicle that comes in for maintenance receives a complete multi-point inspection. This inspection isn’t designed to fabricate unneeded repairs or intimidate you into repairs, it is simply a vehicle health check so we can advise you of your vehicle’s condition so you can be best informed of current or future repairs and maintenance needs. We never want you to feel strong-armed, but we always want you to know you can trust us. We want to be your vehicle’s trusted “physician”.
- Question:
- How often should I change my oil? Does it really need to be every 3,000 miles?
- Answer:
- The manufacturers still recommend every three to six months or every 3,000 miles. Is it possible to spread it out longer? Sure it is. However, the cost of oil and a filter is very inexpensive when compared to the expense of replacing parts due to sludge build up or condensation issues.
- Question:
- Aren’t mechanics notorious for ripping people off? How do I know that my best interest will be protected?
- Answer:
- Yes, unfortunately some are. We don’t pride ourselves on making the most sales, we pride ourselves on doing a quality job, doing the job right the first time, and making sure the customer’s concerns and needs are taken care of. How can we convince you that we aren’t going to rip you off? You’ll have to give us a try. We also invite you to read what our clients have to say.
- Question:
- Do you install customer supplied parts?
- Answer:
- We require a complete in-house diagnosis to be sure the right parts are needing to be replaced. Furthermore, in order for us to stand behind a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty and provide the best in quality automotive repair, we only install parts that are OEM/factory original from one of our many parts suppliers. The manufacturer backs their parts so we can back our repairs.
- Question:
- My vehicle has failed state inspection, what do I do? Is there any assistance available?
- Answer:
